Mumbai: Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal shared a heartfelt post for the late advertising legend Piyush Pandey, remembering how their first big ad campaign began “over a cigar and a scotch.”
Sharing his memory on X (formerly Twitter), Anupam wrote, “Ogilvy was our first ad agency, and over a cigar and a scotch, Piyush Pandey & I created our very first major ad campaign for Shaadi.com. India & the world have lost a mad, mad genius ad-man, the only kind there should be. Farewell, mate.”
The twitter post soon went viral and touched thousands of people who grew up watching Piyush Pandey’s iconic ads, known for his creative mind and great storytelling.

In the comments, people shared their love and respect for him. One user, Neha Moolchandani, asked with curiosity, “What tagline Piyush Ji gave to Shaadi.com?” showing how people still remember his creative touch in everything.
