One Moto Is A British Mobility Company Shaping And Electrifying the last mile with Iconic Electric Motorcycles, Bikes, And Scooters. Promoted by Ellysium Automotives, the brand forayed in India in 2021. Having launched three products for Indian consumers, One Moto is making some noise in the Indian EV market. In an exclusive interview with Vishal Jasani, Mr. Aditya Reddy of One Moto India shares his insights.
Q. Describe the Brand growth and Journey of One Moto in India so far.
Aditya Reddy – The journey for One Moto India started in June 2021 when we entered the Indian market. The brand launched in November 2021, and it just took five months to launch the first three products in EV Two-wheelers in the Indian Market. We have invested 250 cr. in setting up an electric vehicle and lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility in Telangana in Zaheerabad National Investment & Manufacturing Zone [NIMZ]. Our manufacturing unit will be ready for operations by November 2022.
Q. Tell us about the tie-up with Global Assure for roadside Assistance to the customers.
AR – As a part of our brand promise to the customers, we have tied up with Global Assure to provide the road assistance service to One Moto India customers.
Under the program, customers can avail of services like towing vehicles, flat tyre repair/change, on-site repair, key lockout services, ambulance referral, vehicle extraction, message relay to relatives/colleagues/emergency number, hotel assistance and a 24*7 response centre.
Q. What are the plans for the Dealer expansion in India?
AR – As a part of our dealer expansion plan, we are working to cover the northern and central India market by the end of the second quarter. We have covered almost the entire south Indian market. Our primary focus is to foray into the central Indian market.
Q. How is One Moto planning to take on the competitors and established manufacturers?
AR – One Moto India has already launched three models for the Indian Market that attracted a tremendous response. We are planning to introduce four more vehicles in the market, which will cover all the segments we wish to operate.
Q. Where do you see your company in the span of the next 15 years?
AR – In over 15 years, we as a brand aim to reach a position where the company is a healthy ecosystem for EVs in India. Our R&D Department is actively working on the plans where we want to include charging stations, Battery Manufacturing, and Battery Swapping technology, all under a single roof.
