₹1,078 Cr CRIF Boost to Gujarat Roads, Trade & Logistics to Benefit

Gandhinagar: Trade and industries in Gujarat will have an upper edge as the Central government has approved ₹1,078 crore from the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for taking up about 41 road works under the Gujarat government.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the approach of strengthening the country’s road infrastructure network to enhance connectivity and ease of transportation will be realised in Gujarat in the coming days through this substantial allocation for state roads. Not only this, logistics transportation will become simpler and faster under PM Gati Shakti.

As an outcome of the high-level meeting held in Gandhinagar in November 2025 by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Gadkari to review projects related to state roads and national highways, an amount of ₹1,078.13 crore has been allocated to Gujarat for undertaking works on roads under the State Government.

Out of the amount approved from the CRIF for works on roads under the State Government, a total of 41 works covering a length of 564.57 kilometers will be undertaken.

Accordingly, ₹636 crore has been approved to undertake 11 widening works of state highways covering a total length of 229.20 kilometers in the districts of Patan, Kutch, Banaskantha, Kheda, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur, Valsad, Amreli, Jamnagar, and Vadodara.

The 23 works of road strengthening and resurfacing, to be carried out over a length of 335.37 kilometers at a cost of ₹408.33 crore, will include works in the districts of Ahmedabad, Kheda, Anand, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Tapi, Navsari, Devbhumi Dwarka, Surendranagar, Amreli, Surat, and Jamnagar.

In addition to these works, ₹33.80 crore has been approved from the Central Road Infrastructure Fund for seven structural works, which will cover works in the districts of Tapi, Surat, and Dang.
