WEF 2026 Concludes: Gujarat Emerges as a Global Investment Confidence Leader

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat successfully concluded its participation at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026, held from 19 to 23 January 2026 at Davos–Klosters, Switzerland.

The high-level Gujarat delegation led by deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi, held over 58 high-impact engagements with global chairpersons, CEOs, investors, and multilateral institutions. These interactions significantly strengthened Gujarat’s standing as one of India’s most trusted and forward-looking destinations for investment across priority sectors.

During the five-day global forum, Gujarat presented a unified vision of economic growth rooted in strong industrial foundations, modern infrastructure, innovation-driven development, and policy stability. The delegation engaged extensively with global industry leaders and institutions, highlighting Gujarat’s readiness to support next-generation industries, advanced manufacturing, digital transformation, clean energy transitions, logistics-led trade expansion, and future technologies.

Gujarat’s presence at WEF 2026 clearly communicated that the State is industry-driven, investor-secure, and execution-focused. The discussions reflected confidence in Gujarat’s governance model, ease of doing business, and long-term planning, while also demonstrating the State’s ability to adapt to emerging global economic and technological trends.

The delegation underlined Gujarat’s competitive yet collaborative approach, where healthy competition with neighbouring states strengthens India’s overall economic ecosystem.

Gujarat’s integrated infrastructure—spanning ports, connectivity, urban development, digital systems, and industrial clusters—was showcased as a key enabler for sustainable and scalable investments. Special emphasis was also placed on Gujarat’s growing capabilities beyond traditional industries.

The State’s expanding sports infrastructure, along with upcoming international-level sporting events, was highlighted as part of a broader vision for youth development, global visibility, and social infrastructure excellence.

Gujarat’s economic journey continues to be shaped by visionary leadership. When Narendra Modi served as Chief Minister, Gujarat witnessed transformational growth. Today, under his leadership as Prime Minister, the benefits of that vision are extending across the entire nation. Gujarat’s development model remains a strong contributor to India’s global economic standing.

The delegation reaffirmed that investing in Gujarat offers multiple advantages—policy certainty, skilled human capital, industrial depth, strong institutions, and a future-ready ecosystem. Every investment in Gujarat is secure, supported by transparent governance and a proven track record of delivery.

As WEF 2026 concludes, Gujarat leaves Davos with strengthened global relationships, renewed investor confidence, and clear momentum towards its long-term vision of Viksit Gujarat @ 2047.

With clarity of purpose and consistency in action, Gujarat once again demonstrated that it is ready for the world—where vision meets execution, and growth meets trust.
