We should make our country proud globally: Dr Mohammed Khan
New Delhi (India), August 18: A grand programme by the name of “Mera Watan” was organised by the FULLBRIGHT Global School on the occasion of Independence Day in Peruvallur. Various competitions like patriotic songs, speeches, essay writing and quiz program were organized as part of the celebrations in which thousands of students participated and made the event successful.
Dr Mohammed Khan, President of Khans Media City and Chairman of Layali Dubai Group of Companies, was the Chief Guest.
Dr Jabir Hudawi, the Secretary of the Fullbright Foundation, presided over the function. Earlier, the program started with the hoisting of the National Flag of India by the Chief Guest, Dr Mohammed Khan, and was inaugurated by the Working President, Hassan Master. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Khan said, “It is his privileged to be a part of this wonderful program called “Mera Watan”. I am honoured to be present in front of all the high-profile dignitaries. It is a very good initiative where we can discuss the issue which can grow our nation, and this is the special occasion of Independence Day in our country, so on this occasion, we should take a pledge to take our country to the next level where we can be prouder of ourselves not just in our country but globally.”
The event started with a welcome note from Principal Hashim Hudawi, who welcomed all the dignitaries at the event. The executive members of the school committee such as Naser Master, Beerankutty Baqavi, Chokli Moosa Haji, Rahmatullah Chatharthodi, Mustafa Cholayil, Dr. KK Naufal, K. Haseeb, and teachers such as MT Raees, KC Farzana, PK Hafsat, T Rahmat, CP Rahmatul Jahana, Mahira Cinzi etc. participated in the function. Jafar Faizi led the prayer, and Manager Mahmood Hudawi cast the vote of thanks.
