New Delhi, September 29: The Government of India has announced the launch of Special Campaign 6, to be conducted from 2nd–31st October 2026, with the preparatory phase from 15th–30th September 2026. The campaign will focus on institutionalising cleanliness in Government offices, disposal of pending references, efficient record management, e-waste management, effective space utilisation and enhancing workplace experience.
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) actively participated in Special Campaign 5.0 with a strong emphasis on cleanliness, records management, space optimisation and disposal of pending references across its offices and institutions. During the campaign, more than 1,836 cleanliness drives were conducted. The Ministry disposed of 3 references from Members of Parliament, 7 Parliament Assurances, 307 Public Grievances and 27 Public Grievance Appeals.
As part of the record management initiatives, 1,250 files were reviewed and 466 files were weeded out. In addition, 658 e-files were reviewed, out of which 266 e-files were closed. These efforts resulted in freeing approximately 4,000 square feet of office space through weeding out of files and disposal of scrap. The disposal of scrap also generated revenue of approximately ₹7.58 lakh.
The collective efforts of MSDE and its attached, autonomous, subordinate and field offices contributed towards creating cleaner and more efficient workplaces, improving record management and optimising available office space. The campaign also strengthened awareness regarding the importance of maintaining a clean office environment and responsible disposal of waste.
In preparation for Special Campaign 6, MSDE has initiated preparatory activities and is coordinating with the nodal officers and stakeholders of its attached, subordinate and autonomous organisations and field institutions. The nodal officers are being sensitised regarding the key focus areas of the campaign, including cleanliness, disposal of pending references, efficient record management, e-waste management in accordance with the applicable E-Waste Management Rules, 2022, space management and enhancement of workplace experience.
The Ministry is committed to carrying forward the momentum generated during Special Campaign 5.0 and contributing significantly to the objectives of Special Campaign 6 through sustainable cleanliness practices, effective disposal of pendency, responsible e-waste management, improved record management and creation of cleaner, more efficient and better-utilised workspaces.
