Surat: A leading organisation for trade and commerce in India, the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) is spreading its activities in the art and culture on a big scame. For the first time, the SGCCI has organised a two day long ‘Dumas Art Festival-2026’ starting from February 21.
At the Dumas Art Festival 2026, artists will showcase their work in Painting (all types), Sculpture, Sketching and Drawing, Calligraphy, Digital Art, Photography, Installation Art, Craft and Handmade Art, Clay and Pottery Art, Fabric and Textile Art, Glass Art, Wood Art, Metal Art, Mixed Media, Live Art/Performance Art, Music (Live Band or Instrumental Music – Solo), Tarot Card Reading Art, Meditation and Healing Art
SGCCI president Nikhil Madrasi said that the purpose of this festival is to provide a platform to artists to showcase their art. This festival, held on the beach, is an attempt to bring art closer to the people. This is an important organization being organized by the Chamber of Commerce to promote art and culture in Surat.
He further said that this is an important step taken by the Chamber in the direction of promoting art and culture in Surat. The Chamber believes that through such programs, local as well as national level artists get due recognition and encouragement.
The art festival will be open from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, showcasing artists in the fields of Painting (all types), Sculpture, Sketching and Drawing, Calligraphy, Digital Art, Photography, Installation Art, Craft and Handmade Art, Clay and Pottery Art, Fabric and Textile Art, Glass Art, Wood Art, Metal Art, Mixed Media, Live Art/Performance Art, Music (Live Band or Instrumental Music – Solo), Tarot Card Reading Art, Meditation and Healing Art.
Through this festival, Surat will create a new artistic identity, where art is not only seen but also experienced. This festival will be open to people of all ages. Artists and art lovers will be able to connect directly. Here artists will exhibit their works and in some areas, the audience will also get a live experience through live art and performance. This will be a unique event for city dwellers to visit with family.
