Rajkot: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) on 11 January at Marwadi University in Rajkot.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi stated at a press conference at the Rajkot District Collector Office that, a coordination meeting with industrialists from Saurashtra–Kutch region was held today in Rajkot to promptly resolve the issues and representations of small and large industrialists, enabling further investment and industrial growth. Group meetings with all departments were also conducted.
He stated that Rajkot is Gujarat’s growth engine in the manufacturing sector, and to attract more investment from India and abroad, the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) has been organised in Rajkot. He added that the first edition of VGRC was earlier held successfully in Mehsana. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference on 11 January at Marwadi University in Rajkot, and expressed confidence that the conference will bring large-scale investment to Saurashtra and Kutch regions.
He said that Rajkot is making rapid progress across manufacturing and other sectors, and to further accelerate development and make it easier for traders, industrialists, and manufacturers to work, the meeting was organised today. He stated that under various Gujarat Government industrial policies, incentive assistance worth Rs. 956.51 crore was distributed today from Rajkot to 10,435 industrialists. Approval letters worth over Rs. 661 crore under schemes including the Textile Incentive to Industries, Environmental Industrial Infrastructure Facilities Scheme, and small industry schemes will be distributed to 137 industrialists from Saurashtra–Kutch. He added that Gujarat is the fastest state in providing incentives, with the Industries Department working round the clock to speed up the process. Under the leadership of Prime Minister, Gujarat has attracted the highest investment in the country. He expressed confidence that, under the Chief Minister’s leadership and with public cooperation, the state will continue to draw maximum investment and move steadily on the path of development.
In-charge Minister Jitubhai Vaghani stated that industrialists and traders play a vital role in strengthening the state’s economy through diverse products and business activities. He appreciated today’s meeting with industrialists, held under the leadership of Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, aimed at resolving industrialists’ issues on the spot and promptly addressing policy-related matters at the state level.
