G. Kishan Reddy Reviews Coal India Limited’s Preparations for Special Campaign 6

New Delhi, September 30: As part of Special Campaign 6, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Coal & Mines, reviewed the progress and preparations of Coal India Limited (CIL) for Special Campaign 6 along with Secretary (Coal), Chairman CIL, CMDs and other Senior officers, of Subsidiaries, aimed at institutionalising Swachhata and liquidating pendency, with a special thrust on ‘Waste to Wealth’ and ‘e-Waste Management’.

Key Highlights and Preparatory Initiatives

Promoting Cleanliness Awareness: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL)

Cleanliness Awareness Walkathon at Vasant Vihar, Bilaspur, in which children enthusiastically participated and spread the message of cleanliness and environmental awareness.

 

Street play on the theme “Our Threshold, Our Waste” at the SECL Headquarters premises in Bilaspur. Through the street play, the importance of cleanliness, proper waste disposal, and individual responsibility for maintaining a clean and healthy environment in one’s surroundings were presented in an effective and engaging manner.

Identification of sites for cleaning: The Ministry of Coal, along with Coal India Limited and all Coal PSUs, has identified 1,565 sites for cleaning under Special Campaign 6, to be undertaken from 2 October to 31 October.

File Management: 19,499 physical files and 40,094 e-files have been marked for review to improve operational efficiency and ensure quick retrieval of records.

Ministry of Coal is geared up for achieving all targets within the stipulated timelines under Special Campaign 6, reinforcing the Government’s vision of efficient governance and transparency.
