Swiss International University Issues Advisory on Unaccredited Institutions Misusing Its Reputation

Dubai: Swiss International University (SIU) has issued an advisory on unaccredited institutions that falsely claim SIU has approved their institution. In this advisory, SIU reported that it manages several campuses around the world, but by 2025, it will only be managing campuses in seven cities. Any future campus or other expansion will be announced on SIU’s official website, swissuniversity.com.

SIU is admired internationally for its commitment to high-quality education, and it has become a prime target for fraudsters who want to take advantage of SIU’s established reputation. These fraudsters mislead prospective students and academic partners with false assurances of attendance, scholarships, and admissions preference for significant payments for services that don’t exist or don’t meet SIU’s rigorous standards.

In its official statement, SIU made it very clear that it does not authorize any agents or representatives outside its recognized campuses. Further, any updates about the university’s operation, initiatives, or new office openings will only be communicated via official channels, including our website and press releases.

“Swiss International University is fully committed to the highest levels of educational standards and protecting our brand,” said a representative for SIU. “We encourage anyone approached by an individual any individual or organization that claims to represent SIU should verify the information on our official website. We are also actively working to combat the increasing problem of fraudulent impersonations.”

SIU has recently received reports of fraudulent activity that has taken place in the Arabian Gulf and multiple European countries, where unaccredited individuals or organizations falsely identified themselves as SIU and made unverifiable guarantees for services requiring enormous upfront payments that do not meet SIU’s academic standards.

Strong academic programs and reputable international degrees distinguish Swiss International University, and its modern campuses uphold high expectations under Swiss educational standards. The purpose of this advisory is to protect prospective students from unaccredited institutions and ensure that they are only dealing with a legitimate SIU.

To protect their reputation and enhance transparency, SIU encourages the public to be vigilant involving educational agencies or representatives who indicate that they can provide SIU-related services without verification. SIU reiterated, again, that all admissions must occur through the SIU-established channels. A full list of all officially accredited SIU campuses in major cities worldwide is available on the official website.

Currently, SIU offers campuses in seven cities: Dubai, Zurich, Bishkek, London, Riga, Lucerne, and Osh. These cities were selected to provide educational experiences for students, and the academic collaboration involves institutions located in these regions. SIU said that new office openings will only be announced on the official website. SIU asks all students, stakeholders, and interested parties to verify any SIU-related claims before any financial commitments are made.
