Ahmedabad: Cybersecurity Awareness and Creative Handholding – CAWACH Kendra, operating under the Education Department of the Government of Gujarat, has organized a grand state-level “Reels / Shorts Making Competition” for college and university students across the state. Organized from January 19 to February 8, 2026, this competition will give students a unique opportunity to spread awareness about cyber security, digital cleanliness, protection from online fraud, responsibility on social media and digital well-being. By making short, attractive and creative reels on popular social media platforms, students will be able to convey a strong message of cyber security to the entire society.
Who can participate
Students studying in all government engineering colleges, unaided colleges, state universities, village colleges as well as all private colleges/universities of the state can participate in this competition.
Main themes of the competition
Reels will have to be made on themes like Cyber Safety & Digital Hygiene, Online Frauds & Scam Awareness, Social Media Responsibility, Cyber Safety for Women & Children and Digital Well-being.
Prize Details
The winners of the competition will be given attractive cash prizes as per the category, including:
- Best category (as per each theme): First 5 winners will get Rs. 15,000 per winner
- Excellent category (as per each theme): Next 5 winners will get Rs. 10,000 per winner
- Excellent category (as per each theme): Next 5 winners will get Rs. 7,000 per winner
- Encouragement Category: Top 50 selected reels will get Rs. 1,000 per winner
All the students participating in the competition will be given an e-Participation Certificate.

The Kawach Center has requested students of all colleges and universities of the state to participate in this competition as much as possible.
It is noteworthy that the main objective of CAWACH Kendra (Cybersecurity Awareness and Creative Handholding – CAWACH Kendra), Education Department, Government of Gujarat is to provide guidance and awareness on cyber hygiene, cyber crime prevention and cyber security to the teachers and students of all higher and technical education institutions of the state such as government engineering colleges, unaided colleges, state universities and rural colleges through various activities.
