Defence Entrepreneur Sahil Luthra Gets Fresh Death Threats From Foreign Numbers

New Delhi: Defence entrepreneur Sahil Luthra has once again approached authorities after allegedly receiving fresh death threats from international phone numbers. Luthra, who is the Founder and Managing Director of Vijay Trishul Defence Solutions (VTDS), has claimed that the threats are serious and directly target him and his family.

According to the complaint submitted to Delhi Police on February 27, 2026, Luthra received two threatening calls on February 26. One call reportedly came at 11:15 AM from a foreign number starting with +351, while another call was received at 10:26 PM from a number beginning with +49. In his written complaint, he stated that the callers issued direct threats to his life and also warned about the safety of his family members.

Luthra mentioned that the callers claimed they were operating from outside India. They also allegedly said that they were aware he had security protection. What has made the matter more serious is that the callers reportedly took responsibility for an earlier firing incident that happened outside his residence in Amritsar on November 29, 2025. During that incident, gunshots were fired in the air outside his home, which had already raised major security concerns.

In his complaint, Luthra claimed that the threats have now escalated. He alleged that the callers said they would not just fire in the air again but would directly target him. Calling the situation “extremely alarming,” he said that he and his family are living in constant fear.

Earlier, Luthra had also written to the Ministry of Home Affairs seeking Y+ category security cover under central protection. In his representation to the Home Secretary, he referred to continuing extortion threats of Rs 10 crore and alleged links to the Lawrence Bishnoi–Goldy Brar syndicate. He requested immediate intervention, enhanced security assessment, and preventive protection measures.

He also stated that he has submitted supporting documents, including copies of FIRs, screenshots of call records and messages, and a USB drive containing audio and video clips of the alleged threats. He urged authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and take strict action against those responsible.

Delhi Police acknowledged receipt of his email complaint. In an official reply, the matter was referred to the Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) for necessary action. The communication mentioned that further action would be taken as per procedure.

Luthra has expressed faith in the system but stressed that the repeated threats have caused serious psychological stress to his family. He said the continued intimidation poses a real and credible danger to their safety.

The case has once again highlighted concerns over threats faced by high-profile businesspersons, especially those linked to sensitive sectors such as defence manufacturing. Security agencies are expected to examine the origin of the international calls and verify the claims made in the complaint.
