Surat: In honor of World Mental Health Day, Scholar English Academy (SEA) hosted a pivotal mental health awareness event for Grade XI students and teachers, led by Mr. Murtuza Railwaywala, a distinguished psychologist, psychotherapist, and the Founder-Director of SPARSH Mental Health and Wellness Centre, Surat. With over 22 years of experience in the field, Mr. Railwaywala shared his profound insights into the importance of mental health and its essential balance with physical well-being.
As the chief speaker, Mr. Railwaywala addressed critical topics such as the fundamentals of mental health, recognizing the signs of mental issues, and practical stress management strategies for students and adults. He emphasized that mental health is as important as physical health and provided tools to help participants manage their well-being effectively.
The event also provided clarity on the roles of various mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychotherapists, counselors, remedial educators, and psychiatrists, helping attendees better understand the support system available for mental health challenges.
Organized by the team at SEA under the leadership of School Trustee Mr. Rajesh Maheshwari, Principal Mr. Mahendra Tayade, and Coordinator Ms. Shital Kasat, the session empowered students and teachers with the knowledge to maintain a stable mental state and foster healthier relationships in both personal and professional spheres.
