New Delhi (India), October 28: leap.club, a network built only for women, hosted the latest edition of its flagship event, the leap (af)fair, at JLN stadium in Delhi. Built on the spirit of networking made easy, over 1,500 women came together to mingle with each other & enjoy popular local brands at this event, where Myntra Beauty, Etsy and Vayulearn were featured as mission partners.
The sprawling, sunshine-filled venue had all that you can expect for ambitious women to let loose and walk away with a bigger network, including experiential zones like a book reading corner, gaming zone, painting corner, tarot, etc. What sets this event apart is that the majority of the partners are brands owned by members of leap.club, making it a showcase of the diverse & sheer talent that exists within the community. The mascot for this ethos is the flea market that featured homegrown, women-led brands like Anshita Mehrotra’s curly haircare brand, Fix My Curls, Shamika Haldipurkar’s beauty brand, d’you, Rupanshi Agarwal’s clothing brand, Qua, Aastha Vohra’s sexual wellness brand, Manzuri, Vibha Harish’s vegan wellness brand, Cosmix, among others.
In addition to the flea market & the numerous activities that were all designed to help form connections, attendees could also purchase a selection of items from top Delhi-NCR eateries like Bhawan, Fig, Mahabelly, Ping’s, Burgerama and more. All of this was paired with drinks on the house by Kingfisher, Stranger & Sons, Short Story, Svami and Dewar’s.
The leap (af) fair is crafted to facilitate meaningful connections and networking among participants while also tackling subjects relevant to women professionals. The ticket also included access to structured speed networking sessions and speaker sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis. The speed-networking sessions, housed in the pow(d)er room zone, facilitate 1:1 connections while the speaker sessions like “The dilemma of negotiation – balancing advocacy and likability” featuring Suchita Salwan, co-founder LBB, Nupur Nagpal – CHRO Myntra, Megha Chawla, partner at Bain & Co. gives a platform to important conversations for women at the workplace.
The evening culminated in a captivating live performance by the talented Delhi-based band Chizai, leaving the members grooving to their unique renditions of popular songs.
“The leap (af) fair brings together all the most-loved parts of the events we regularly host for our members – it really is the best of leap.club events,” expressed Ragini Das, the co-founder of leap.club, when sharing her thoughts on the event. “This edition has been our biggest and grandest to date, and we can’t wait to take it to even greater heights next year with an exciting new format.
