New Delhi: Tula Journey, Founded by Gunjan Adya, offers a chance to pause, reflect, and heal this unique wellness brand uses tools like journals, affirmation cards, and workshops to help individuals express themselves and improve their emotional well-being. Gunjan’s journey from personal wellness to becoming a certified expressive art therapist is a story of passion, resilience, and a deep desire to help others.
How Tula Journey Began Gunjan’s path to wellness started in 2011 when she became interested in self-care and emotional health. In 2016, she joined a course to improve her artistic skills but discovered something much deeper, it taught her to slow down and connect with her emotions.
This experience became the foundation for Tula Journey. “During the pandemic, I noticed how anxious people were and felt the need to help,” she says. She began hosting online journaling sessions and realized how powerful writing could be in helping people organize their thoughts and express their feelings. This was the beginning of Tula Journey, a brand focused on self-expression and mindfulness. Gunjan’s training as an expressive art therapist plays a big role in shaping Tula Journey. Expressive arts, like journaling, music, movement, and art, offer a safe way for people to explore their emotions and feel more connected to themselves.
“These activities help people let go of emotions they’ve held inside and feel calmer,” Gunjan explains. At Tula Journey, she combines her personal experiences with her training to create tools and programs that make self-reflection and emotional healing easier for everyone. Starting a wellness brand in India, where journaling and mindfulness are still new ideas, wasn’t easy. Building an online business also came with its own set of challenges. “There were moments of doubt, but the positive impact we were creating kept me going,” Gunjan says. These challenges taught her to be strong and stay focused on her mission to make wellness tools accessible to more people.
The Importance of Pausing
The concept of the “power of pause” is central to Tula Journey. “In today’s busy world, we often forget to take a moment for ourselves,” Gunjan shares. “Pausing allows us to cut through the noise, reflect, and find balance.” This simple practice helps people live more meaningful and intentional lives, and it’s something Gunjan promotes through every Tula Journey product.Tula Journey offers tools like guided journals and affirmation cards that make self-care easy and enjoyable.
“I’ve always loved journaling because it helps me organize my thoughts and feel clearer,” Gunjan says. The journals are designed to guide even first-time users with prompts and questions. Affirmation cards, on the other hand, help start the day with positivity and self-belief. Gunjan’s workshops are a space where people can feel safe to share and explore their emotions. “When people are given the right tools and a supportive environment, they open up in amazing ways,” she observes. These workshops combine creative activities with mindfulness techniques, leaving participants feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves.
Tula Journey has grown largely through word of mouth, with glowing testimonials from users and support from celebrities like Swara Bhaskar, Pooja Bedi, and Alaya F. “This support has helped us reach more people and build trust in our brand,” Gunjan says. Gunjan is currently working on a new tool called Sukh, a conversation game that encourages deeper connections. “In today’s world, we often talk about surface-level things. Sukh will help people have meaningful conversations with their friends, family, or colleagues,” she explains. Gunjan is also working on long-term projects that aim to make wellness accessible to people worldwide, ensuring that Tula Journey continues to grow and evolve.
Helping People Find Balance :
At its heart, Tula Journey is about inspiring people to take care of their emotional health and embrace practices like self-reflection and mindfulness. Gunjan believes that these practices not only bring personal peace but also improve every aspect of life. “When the mind is at ease, everything else feels better too,” she says.
