Erattupetta records new place in history”-Dr Mohammed Khan

New Delhi (India), September 8: As part of Onam celebrations, the city of Erattupetta in Kotayyam district witnessed its first-ever boat race in its beloved Meenachill river, organized by the voluntary organization ‘Team Emergency’ in association with Erattupetta municipality. The event was attended by Sri Sebastian Kulathunkal MLA, Sri Anto Antoney MP and other political, cultural and social dignitaries. Global media celebrity world sports enthusiast Bharat Mahan – Dr Mohammed Khan, founder, president and CEO of Khans Media City (Dubai), graced the spectacle as the chief guest. Dr Khan was the main speaker at the event, where he addressed thousands of spectators who came to be part of the historic event. In his address, Dr Mohammed Khan said, “Onam is a symbol of love, peace and communal harmony, and as part of Onam celebrations, this very first boat race will script a new chapter in the history of Erattupetta.” Dr Mohammed Khan is widely recognized and respected for his association with prestigious international sports events like the 2010 Fifa World Cup- South Africa, 2014 Brazil, 2018 Moscow and even the Fifa World Cup 2022 held in Qatar. He was the Media Officer for the 2016 Rio Olympics and Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He pledged his complete media support for the sports competitions and events as part of Onam celebrations. Dr Mohammed Khan further added that he and Khans Media City firmly believe in the ability of sports to transcend borders, religion, caste and creed. He further maintained that sports can bring people together despite all the differences among them, and sports can strengthen an entire community of brotherhood.
