Mumbai: Filmmaker, screenwriter and entrepreneur Babai Sen and his wife Susmita Adhikary celebrated their daughter Arshi Sen’s fifth birthday with the release of “I Love You Baba,” an emotional father-daughter song launched through Saregama Bengali Music.
The release is particularly significant as it marks the first on-screen appearance of Babai Sen alongside his daughter, turning a personal family milestone into a memorable creative project.
Speaking to the media from his office in Andheri, Mumbai, Babai Sen said the song was conceived not as a commercial venture but as a lasting gift for his daughter.
“Every parent wishes to leave behind memories that their child will treasure forever. ‘I Love You Baba’ is our birthday gift to Arshi, and we hope it remains a beautiful reminder of our love throughout her life,” he said.
Responding to a question about whether he hopes Arshi will pursue a career in acting, Sen made it clear that her future should remain her own choice.
“Parents should guide their children, not decide their future. Our responsibility is to nurture her with values, confidence and education. The path she chooses will always belong to her, and we will support her in every step,” he added.
Beyond the song’s release, Babai Sen shared details about the future plans of Arshi Group of Company, which is expanding its presence in India’s creative and entertainment sectors. According to him, the organisation is currently working on several national projects while also exploring collaborations with leading OTT platforms.
He further revealed that the company is planning to establish a professional learning and talent development institute in Kolkata. The proposed institute aims to provide aspiring artists with industry-oriented training under the guidance of experienced mentors from Mumbai. An official announcement is expected around 15 August, subject to the completion of ongoing preparations.
More than a musical release, “I Love You Baba” reflects the family’s belief that creativity, entrepreneurship and strong family values can complement one another. Through the project, Babai Sen and Susmita Adhikary hope to preserve a meaningful family memory while continuing to build a creative ecosystem through Arshi Group of Company.
