5,000 Sisters Tie Rakhi to MLA Mukesh Sharma in Grand Celebration at GAV International School, Gurugram
New Delhi: In a heartwarming celebration of Raksha Bandhan, over 5,000 sisters, including schoolgirls, teachers, and staff members, tied rakhis to Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma at GAV International School. The special event aimed to reinforce the essence of sibling bonding and highlight the importance of women’s safety and Indian cultural values. Speaking at the event, MLA Mukesh Sharma expressed his commitment to the safety and dignity of women in the region.

“I will always stand by my sisters and ensure their protection. We have already taken several significant steps for women’s safety in Gurugram and will continue to do more,” Sharma stated. The celebration saw the participation of 19 schoolgirls along with female staff and teachers, tying rakhis in a symbolic gesture of trust and love. By the end of the event, both hands of the MLA were covered in rakhis, marking the deep bond shared with the women of his constituency. Mr. Pradeep Kaushik, Chairman of GAV International School, emphasized the cultural significance of such events.
