String Metaverse reports 225% rise in net profit, stock surges 5% to an all-time high

New Delhi: Hyderabad-based String Metaverse, a Web 3.0 listed company, announced a stellar rise in its financial results, with a 169.40% increase in revenue from Rs.151.21 crore last year to Rs. 407.36 crore this year. Net Profit surged from Rs. 10.82 crore to Rs.35.25 crore, a 225.79% increase from last year.

The small-cap stock has seen a massive 670% rally in the past six months, as investors see the company as a pioneer in the digital tokenization, blockchain infrastructure and gaming niche. Its ambitious expansion plans, which include holding all profits in cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets have appealed to investors. The company is also looking to invest $50 million in global cloud data centers to host cryptocurrency nodes for major blockchains like Ethereum, Solana and Bitcoin.

The company also aims to raise $2 billion for global digital asset expansion in the next 3 years. The company is rapidly expanding in India, Southeast Asia, West Asia and Europe, especially in the gaming and e-sports sector.

The company is trading at a very high price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 4870.29 and a low return on equity (0.99%), indicating that most of the value earned has already been factored in. The Web 3.0 market is still in its nascent phase with many regulatory uncertainties, and its expansion plans may be at risk due to high valuations and implementation risks.
