IHCL’s net profit rises 19% YoY,  operational revenue rises 32% to Rs.2,102 crore

New Delhi: Tata-owned Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has reported a net profit of Rs.296 crore as against Rs.248 crore in Q1FY25, a 19% YoY rise.  Along with this, its operational revenue has risen 32% to Rs. 2,102 crore from Rs.1,596 crore from the same quarter last year, a 32% YoY rise.

The company’s EBITDA has risen to Rs.637 crore from Rs.496 crore from the same quarter last year, a 29% rise.

“Q1 FY2026 marks the thirteenth consecutive quarter of record performance. In line with our guidance, the company reported a double-digit growth in consolidated revenue. The hotel segment’s revenue at INR 1,814 crores grew by 14% leading to a strong EBITDA margin of 31.4%. This performance was enabled by diversification of our top line across same store hotels, not like for like growth and New Businesses consolidated revenue growing by 27% over the previous year. The hospitality sector, despite geopolitical headwinds continues to show resilience and sustained growth”, Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO, IHCL said.

The company remains India’s leading hotel brand, led by its flagship Taj brand for premium travellers, Ginger for budget-conscious travellers and Qmin dedicated to hotel services.  IHCL has been an investor favourite for quite some time now, as it is debt-free and operates mostly on a franchisee model.  The company has consistently outperformed its peers in occupancy rates primarily due to its consistently high-quality standards and high customer loyalty.

Ever since the company’s flagship Taj Mahal Palace Hotel opened in Mumbai in 1903, the company has since grown to become India’s largest hotel brand, managing 390+ hotels across 12 countries. It has over 90 properties under development with sox new hotels opened this year across its brand portfolio- including a Taj in Alibaug, a mid-level Ginger hotel in Dehradun and 2 SelecQtions resorts in Lakshadweep.

The company had announced a Rs.2.25 dividend per share, after the announcement, shares were trading 1.76% higher at 2:00 PM on July 18.
