Mumbai: Experts in India have forecast that gold and silver markets are set to perform astonishingly in 2026. However, in 2025, investors made a huge amount of money from gold and silver and the rally is going to break all records in 2026.
Those who put money into gold and silver have found that 2025 was a very profitable year. In what situation? Gold has a return of about 65%, but silver has done better, with a return of more than 140%. Experts say that this boom will last until 2026.
“Gold and silver have always been regarded as safe-haven assets during the economic and geopolitical crisis. This trend has been very positive in the year 2025 “, said Anuj Gupta, Vice President –
Commodity & Currency Research at a leading brokerage firm. “With inflationary pressures and global risks still unresolved, the momentum is likely to continue well into 2026.”
Experts are of the opinion that the investors turned toward gold and silver when they were unsure of what to do and where to invest. Gold is currently worth about $4300 per ounce on the world market. If things stay the same, the price of gold could rise to $5000 an ounce. This clearly indicate that gold may breach the $700 mark in the coming days.
“Central bank buying, limited supply growth and sustained investor interest are supporting gold at elevated levels,” said Ravindra Rao, Head of Commodity Research at a Mumbai-based financial services firm. “If macroeconomic uncertainty continues, a move towards the $5,000 mark in 2026 cannot be ruled out.”
Silver could give you good returns. Right now, the price of silver is around $70 per ounce. Experts say that it could go up to $85 per ounce in the near future. This means that by 2026, there could be a 20% return.
The diamond market is going through big changes. The current market trend shows that people want lab-grown diamonds more than natural ones. Because of how much it costs. Still, natural diamonds work very
well too. There is a chance of gradual improvement over the course of three to four years.
“Lab-grown diamonds are the next big thing for the consumers, especially in the U.S and India. The demand for laboratory created diamonds are increasing exponentially across the world. However, natural diamonds have a niche class and it will continue to remain in the market” said Aniruddha Lidbide, diamond industry analyst.
