Bajaj Finance shares in focus as dividend of Rs.44/share declared, 1 bonus share to be allotted for every 4 shares

Mumbai: Shares of Bajaj Finance rose upto 5% on the BSE and NSE as the company announced a dividend of Rs.44 per share along with a 4:1 issue of bonus shares to existing shareholders. Besides this, the company has also decided to split each Rs.2 shares into 2 of Re.1 shares. The record date is set at June 16, subject to shareholder approval.

This triggered a surge in trading for this multi-bagger stock, with an intraday high of Rs. 9,431 per share. Only shareholders who held shares on the 13th June closing session will be eligible for the bonus issue and dividend. Despite this, there appears to be renewed trading interest in the company’s shares. The dividend declared is among the highest by an NBFC, especially considering the company has seen a 35% gain in value from the same date last year.

The company is also known for its strong fundamentals, with net profit increasing by 19% in Q4 FY25 and a 23% YoY increase in income for the same period. Bajaj Finance has also reported an increase in the Assets Under Management (AUM) from Rs.3.3 lakh crore in March 2024 to Rs.4.16 lakh crore in March 2025, a 26% increase.

In 2023, the company raised Rs. 8,800 crore via a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) with the intention of expanding its product portfolio in line with its growth strategy.

Bajaj Finance continues to maintain a strong presence across India, offering SME loans, commercial lending, wealth management services and consumer finance. It has managed to retain its dominant position despite increasing competition from established banks and other NBFCs.
