Mumbai, September 24: Kotak Mahindra Group’s asset management arm Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Ltd has announced the final close of its Kotak Yield and Growth Fund with an impressive ₹5,000 crore (about $522 million) being raised from investors pan India. The Fund initially raised ₹3,900 crore in February 2026, while an additional ₹1,100 crore came in subsequently. Most of the investors are prominent institutional investors, family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs) from across the country.
“The final closing reflects the growing relevance of private credit and real assets in institutional portfolios and the confidence investors have placed in Kotak Alts’ capabilities. We will remain focused on identifying high-quality opportunities and building a portfolio of cash flow-generating assets through structured credit solutions,” Eshwar Karra, deputy managing director at Kotak Alternate Asset Managers, said.
With this close, Kotak Alts will now work towards deploying the fund’s capital to growth opportunities and other revenue generating asset investments.
“The final closing is an important milestone, but the real work begins now: deploying this capital responsibly and delivering strong risk-adjusted returns for our investors,” Amit Jain, CEO, real assets, Kotak Alts added.
Despite the stock market remaining relatively flat over the past two years, domestic investors have kept faith in India’s growth story, remaining patient given strong growth prospects in a developing economy, as reflected in this AIF fundraise.
