Bengaluru: Cloud-based video broadcasting and distribution SaaS platform Amagi Media Labs is all set to raise ₹1,788 crore through an IPO. Supporting clients like NBCUniversal, Warner Bros, Paramount and Rakuten TV, Amagi offers cloud-based solutions for content creation, distribution and monetisation. The company is well known for managing the backend of these broadcasters, helping them to manage their backends, mostly based on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The Bengaluru-based company is the first Media and Entertainment SaaS based firm to go public in India, as the company aims to raise funds to boost its cloud infrastructure and explore inorganic growth opportunities.
Currently valued at $1.4 billion, this company counts Premji Invest, Accel, and Norwest Venture Partners as its main investors, who are looking to sell up to 3.4 crore equity shares in the company, valued at around ₹972.6 crore, while the rest is a fresh issue.
Amagi is also looking to raise an additional ₹204 crore before the IPO, which could reduce the size of the fresh issue.
The company’s operational revenue stands at ₹1,162 crore for FY 2024-25 with a CAGR of 30% since FY2022-23. The company has generated most of its revenues from the US market, with India and Latin America accounting for just 10% of its revenues.
