Surat: KPI Green Energy Limited (NSE – BSE listed), a prominent player in India’s renewable energy sector and a subsidiary of the KP Group, has set a significant milestone by installing and commissioning seven wind turbines under the Hybrid Policy in South Gujarat. This achievement is a result of the scientific approach and visionary leadership of Mr. Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of the company.
The group installed seven wind turbines and its solar portion in various villages in the Kora village of the Bharuch district. This initiative is backed by the business-friendly renewable energy policy of the Government of Gujarat, which facilitated the project’s smooth execution. The group also received prompt provision of turbines from stakeholders such as Suzlon and Senvion. Mr. Patel expressed his gratitude towards these stakeholders and also thanked Mr. Bakul Limbasia, Promoter-Nouveau Jewellery LLP, for trusting and investing in his vision.
It is noteworthy that the southern part of Gujarat was not considered a feasible location for wind turbines until now, with Bhavnagar, Porbandar, and Kutch regions being the preferred locations. However, KP Group’s astute venture has opened new horizons for wind energy in the southern part of Gujarat. Mr. Patel emphasized that this achievement is a matter of pride for all involved and will contribute significantly to the target of 500 GW under renewable energy as envisaged by Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi.
The project includes two turbines installed for Nouveau Jewellery LLP, Green Lab Diamonds, and Mono Steel under the CPP model and one turbine of KPI Green Energy Ltd. under the IPP model. The group aims to install many more projects in the South Gujarat region, which will be a key driver in achieving Mr. Patel’s ambitious target of 2 Gigawatt of commissioned energy by 2025.
In conclusion, the installation of seven wind turbines by KP Group in South Gujarat marks a significant milestone in India’s renewable energy sector. This initiative not only showcases the group’s commitment to renewable energy but also opens up new horizons for wind energy in the southern part of Gujarat. It is a proud moment for all stakeholders involved and a step towards achieving India’s ambitious renewable energy targets.
