Hind Rectifiers Ltd acquires France-based BeLink Solutions for €1 million

Mumbai: Hindustan Rectifiers Ltd (Hirect), a leading player in India’s electrical equipment sector, has announced its acquisition of France-based BeLink Solutions for € 1 million. This acquisition is aimed at enhancing the company’s Research and Development (R&D) efforts, esproviding a strategic manufacturing hub in Europe while also enabling it to specialise in the field of 3D printed electronics, for its industrial and railway-focused products. 

The Mumbai-based company has been one of the leading domestic manufacturers of power conversion equipment, primarily supplying the railways with transformers, rectifiers, and control electronics, as well as related equipment. This acquisition is expected to be a game-changer for the company, helping it get a strategic manufacturing hub in Europe, while also helping it venture into new domains.

This is more than an acquisition; it is the cornerstone of our global strategy to build, innovate, and lead in advanced electronics.” Mr. Suramya Nevatia, Chairman, Managing Director & CEO of Hind Rectifiers Limited, said in a press release to the bourses.

Following the acquisition, Hirect will invest another €2 million in the company, giving it direct access to BeLink’s state-of-the-art production and testing facilities, intellectual property, technology assets, purchase orders and customer contracts. Currently, BeLink operates six fully automated production lines. 

According to reports, BeLink currently has an order book worth €10 million, with revenues expected to reach €13 million this year. Following the news, Hirect’s shares rose 5%  to Rs.1,725. The company has given exceptional returns in the past one year, with its shares rising 116% ever since.  Investors are hoping this company could become the next Titagarh Rail Systems, growing to become a leading technology and engineering company on the back of strategic overseas acquisitions.
