The primary objective of “Walk in Pink @ Namma Chennai” was to raise awareness about the risk factors associated with breast cancer and to empower women to take charge of their breast health through regular self-examinations and screenings—the event aimed to foster a sense of communal responsibility and dispel misconceptions surrounding breast cancer.
In addition to the walk itself, the participants, representing a diverse cross-section of society, including cancer survivors, students, doctors, healthcare professionals, and dedicated volunteers, enjoyed various engaging activities. These activities were designed to uplift and inspire cancer survivors, including a captivating fashion show, invigorating Zumba sessions, and other surprise elements to enhance their physical and mental well-being.
