New Delhi: Zomato’s CEO, Deepinder Goyal, has entered into matrimony with Grecia Munoz, a Mexican entrepreneur and model. The wedding ceremony took place more than a month ago, according to a source who is familiar with the matter. Munoz, hailing from Mexico, has transitioned from a modeling career to founding her startup focused on luxury consumer goods.
Following their wedding, Deepinder Goyal and Grecia Munoz returned from their honeymoon in February. Munoz, as indicated in her Instagram bio, proudly identifies as Mexican but also feels at home in India.
This marks Goyal’s second marriage, having previously been married to Kanchan Joshi, whom he met during his time at IIT-Delhi.
Munoz shared glimpses of her explorations in Delhi in January, expressing her excitement for her new life and home through Instagram posts capturing iconic monuments like the Red Fort.
At 41, Deepinder Goyal stands as the founder and CEO of Zomato, a renowned food delivery platform headquartered in Gurugram. Originating from humble beginnings in 2008 as Foodiebay, the platform has expanded its operations to over 1,000 cities across India.
Recently, Zomato faced criticism for its introduction of a ‘pure veg’ delivery fleet, adorned in green uniforms and tasked exclusively with delivering vegetarian meals. This move stirred controversy and prompted Goyal to retract the initiative, acknowledging the potential risks it posed to the safety of delivery personnel amidst public outcry on social media.
