Zomato Boss Deepinder Goyal Cuts on Spending in Slowing Growth

New Delhi: Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal is scrutinizing the cost management closely as food delivery growth of the company starts levelling. The industry is currently going through a more balanced period after years of rampant growth.

The pandemic led to massive demand of food delivery apps. However, once people started going to restaurants again, growth was slack. Zomato is currently working on cutting the losses and enhancing profitability.

Deepinder Goyal has reported that the company is reducing unwarranted costs and enhancing efficiency. Zomato is also striving to improve the delivery systems and relationships with partners.

Although the order growth is lower, it is steadier. Orders are being made by customers on a regular, yet not massive, basis. This is what makes Zomato better suited to plan.
