Mumbai: Euro Pratik Sales Ltd(EPSL), which recently raised Rs.451 crore through the markets, has announced the acquisition of Uro Veneer World for Rs.76.50 crore. This comes at a time when the company now has to address several key concerns, including its overdependence on contract manufacturers for its products, as well as its excessive reliance on a single segment: decorative wall panels.
Despite concerns from analysts, EPSL’s IPO in September was subscribed 1.34 times, mostly on the hope that the company would be able to expand its base nationwide based on the growth of the real estate sector.
The company now aims to use its Uro Veneer World acquisition to expand beyond the B2B segment, where it aims to infuse Rs.10.20 crore into the company to engage directly with end users and design executives.
“The acquisition of Uro Veneer World marks a significant milestone in Euro Pratik’s growth journey and reaffirms our commitment to staying closely connected with our customers evolving demands. With a firm footing and over 16% market share in the decorative wall panel segment, Euro Pratik is well-positioned to build on its strong foundation of innovation and design leadership. This strategic move strengthens our ability to connect more meaningfully with consumers and influencers, enhances our retail presence, and accelerates advancement across our product portfolio.” Mr. Pratik Singhvi, Chairman and Managing Director, Euro Pratik Sales Limited, said in a press release to the bourses.
Following this, the Ahmedabad-based company will now also have to find a way to address the negative cash flow from its operations witnessed during this fiscal. How the company uses this acquisition to expand beyond its distributor-led strategy remains to be seen.
