New Delhi: Regulators are putting pressure on the startup founders in the world.
Governments are adding tighter policies with startups proliferating into sensitive fields such as finance, health, and artificial intelligence.
In the past, the freedom of startups was due to their small size and experimental nature. Currently, some of them have millions of users. Regulators are of the opinion that size comes with responsibility.
The new regulations are oriented towards the safety of data, privacy of users, and financial disclosure. Founders lament that excessive regulations slack innovation. But governments insist that regulations are necessary to save the people.
