Inaugurating the event, CM Bhupendra Patel explained how the regional summit has boosted the Vibrant Gujarat initiative, ensuring equitable development across all regions of the state. The two-day summit featured 33 seminars, roundtable discussions, B2B and B2G meetings, along with an MSME Conclave. Almost 13,000 participants attended, including almost 200 delegates, with representatives from international organisations such as JETRO, the World Bank, and ICBC also present.
“A total of 1,212 MoUs were signed during this Regional Conference. Through these MoUs, an estimated investment of Rs 3.24 lakh crore is expected in north Gujarat in the near future, giving new momentum to the region’s development,” the CM said.
These conferences are being organized to realise the PM’s vision of inclusive growth, ensuring development is not confined to cities but reaches every village of the state.
“There was a clear message in the thoughts presented by industrialists, representatives from agriculture sector, young entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs that north Gujarat is not just a geographical region, but energy point of future Gujarat. And we are calling it energy point because in two days, 1212 MoUs have been signed in 21 sectors and there are (promises of) investments of ₹ 3.24 lakh crore. This (proposed) investment will play a decisive role in taking forward the goals set by the state government for increasing Gujarat’s GDP, per capita income and creating new employment opportunities,” the CM said at the farewell address at the event.
