Mumbai: Vertoz Limited has announced the acquisition of US-based marketing automation company Webimax for $6.6 million, as the company looks to boost its presence in the international digital advertising ecosystem.
According to a press release to the bourses,Vertoz will acquire 80% of Webimax for US$5.28 million, with the balance to be acquired after 3 years, based on future EBITDA and performance-based targets. The deal is expected to close within the next 90 days, provided certain terms and conditions are met.
The company is looking to finance this acquisition through a mix of debt and internal accruals, with 75% of the purchase being funded by an unnamed government financial institution.
Vertoz expects the acquisition to add approximately ₹300 cr of annualised revuenes and ₹17 cr of PAT to Vertoz’s profits, which is about ₹30 cr annually.
Within the next 18-30 months, the acquisition is expected to deliver about US$2-3 million in realistic synergies and cost savings for Vertoz, which is one of India’s leading players in the marketing and publicity markets, worth almost ₹1.37 lakh crore according to a report by marketing intelligence firm Magna Global.
For Vertoz, this development is another feather in its cap as India’s first listed ad-tech firm. Last year, Vertoz merged with PayNX Technologies Private Limited and QualiSpace Web Services Private Limited to offer MSME clients a complete digital solution. In 2023, the company acquired a minority stake in Cheerio, with an aim to synergise its marketing automation technology into its offering.
For the first half of FY26, the company reported a 58% year-on-year rise in revenue to ₹37.19 crore along with a corresponding 68% rise in consolidated PAT to ₹13.7 crore.
