New Delhi: Venator Search Partners, a Retained Executive Search firm focused on BFSI sector, has assisted Equitas Small Finance Bank in its search for a Whole-time Director (Executive Director). With a strong background in large-scale operations and technology, the incumbent will play a crucial role in enhancing the bank’s core functions and overall efficiency.
Following an extensive search process, Venator Search Partners facilitated the appointment of Balaji Nuthalapadi as Whole-time Director at Equitas Small Finance Bank. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the bank’s entire operations and technology functions.
Balaji Nuthalapadi is a seasoned banker with over 28 years of experience at Citibank. An alumnus of the IIM, Ahmedabad (1996), he has worked across multiple global markets, including South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
Until recently, Balaji served as Managing Director & Head of Operations & Technology for Citi South Asia, where he also led Citi Solution Centre in India. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in driving digital transformation and ensuring governance. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership positions in global operations, technology, consumer banking, wealth management, and regulatory governance. His contributions have been instrumental in scaling Citi’s global hubs in India, advancing automation initiatives, and managing high-value projects, including the $1.6 billion divestiture of Citi’s India Consumer Bank.
