New Delhi: The reason the UP Trade Show has gained much attention this year is due to its solid concentration on empowering women-led businesses. The event, which takes place annually in Uttar Pradesh, showcases different sectoral products and ideas. However, in 2025, the limelight will be turned onto women entrepreneurs running small, medium, or even growing businesses.
Businesses run by women from all over the state would have a chance to display their products at special stalls. Most of these entrepreneurs deal in handicrafts, food processing, fashion, home décor, organic products, wellness, and digital services. The government plans to give them a platform where they can meet buyers, attract investors, and promote their brands.
One of the main objectives of the trade show is to render women economically independent. The rural and semi-urban women have long been manufacturing high-quality products, but over the years, they did not get proper exposure. The trade show will bring their work into the limelight and link them with bigger markets.
The event will also include training sessions on digital selling, marketing, and packaging. Experts will be sharing tips on how businesses can grow using online platforms like social media, e-commerce websites, and digital payment tools. Special sessions on business loans and government schemes for women will also be provided.
The UP government has been pushing to increase women participation in business. Through programs like ODOP (One District One Product) and women self-help groups, many female entrepreneurs already receive support. The trade show will help them take the next big step in scaling up.
The visitors’ profile for the 2025 show will include those from other states, industry leaders, traders, and corporate buyers.
