New Delhi: Engineering equipment maker United Drilling Tools Ltd. (UDTL) has secured its first order to supply Leopard Dual Seal Connectors to Singapore-based H&M Energy Services Pte. Ltd, marking the first such export from India. Under the contract, UDTL will supply these connectors, a specialised component used in the oil and gas sector, to the client’s location in Vietnam.
This order is worth ₹1.97 crore, with UDTL expected to complete the delivery in four months. The Leopard Dual Seal Connector is crucial to meet extreme temperature variations and demanding operational environments in the oil and gas sector. The company has worked hard to meet the rigorous technical and testing requirements for securing this order, relying on its in-house engineering design, advanced material selection and proprietary manufacturing processes and quality control systems for this.
There are only a select few companies in India that have the ability to produce these connectors, mostly due to the stringent qualification, certification and performance requirements needed by the end users in the oil and gas industry.
“We have ability to design and manufacture Leopard Dual Seal Connectors represents a meaningful contribution to both domestic and international supply chains. The development of this capability supports supply diversification, reduces dependence on a small number of overseas sources, and enhances resilience for oil and gas operators and service providers.
The receipt of the current export order reflects recognition of UDTL’s technical capability and its alignment with the stringent expectations of a niche, highly regulated, and safety-critical segment of the global oil and gas industry,” Mr. Govind Sharma, a spokesperson from UDTL, said in a press release to the bourses
UDTL’s shares were trading at ₹189.42 on January 23 at 12PM, following the news.
