Kolkata: Leading infrastructure and engineering company Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd has successfully completed the installation of the Hydro Mechanical(HM) systems for NHPC’s Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project, a major 2000 MW dam project located on the Arunachal Pradesh-Assam border.
NHPC has already commissioned one unit of the project, with the next three to be done by the end of FY 2026-27. Texmaco played a crucial role in designing, manufacturing, supplying, erecting, testing and commissioning the HM systems for the hydroelectric project. The scope for the project included designing, fabricating, suppluying and installing turbines, gates, headworks, spillways and other related control systems.
Located on the Subansiri river, the project is aimed to boosting energy supplies to Northeast India, supporting economic activity in the region.
