Tata Elxsi launches the AI-powered ViTel™ solution aimed at solving sourcing challenges for medical device OEMs

Bengaluru: Premium design and technology services firm Tata Elxsi Limited has announced the launch of ViTel™, its advanced solution aimed at medical device original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Co-developed with material data specialist Viridium AI, this platform aims to address the challenge of scattered data across various solutions to consolidate it for better decision making for supply chain issues.

Tata Elxsi aims to launch ViTel™at the DeviceTalks Boston 2026 convention as it looks to standardize and ease compliance issues for this niche audience. Using Viridium AI’s Knowledge Cloud and Chemical Digital Twin solutions, ViTel aims to transform enterprise data and living product material knowledge by connecting all of them for a real-time solution.

Drawing from Tata Elxsi’s three decades of Med Tech engineering and regulatory expertise and Viridium AI’s platforma nd technology innovations, ViTel will create a reusable Material Intelligence layer across the enterprise, helping teams identify material and supplier dependencies and evaluate alternatives to meet cost, continuity or market access.

“ViTel™ brings Material Intelligence directly into the product and compliance workflows that matter most, helping our customers make faster, more confident decisions across sourcing, engineering, quality, and regulatory readiness.”  Sreevatsa Sahasranaman, Senior Vice President and Head, Healthcare and Life Sciences, Tata Elxsi, said in a press release.

“Viridium AI was built to help manufacturers understand the material DNA of their products. In Med-Tech, that intelligence creates a strategic foundation for the manufacturer. Once product and material knowledge are digitized, it becomes a reusable enterprise asset for margin, sourcing, engineering, quality, and regulatory decisions. Partnering with Tata Elxsi through ViTel™ brings that capability directly into the hands of the teams who need it most.” Niraj Deo, Chief Executive Officer, Viridium AI added.
