New Delhi: T-Hub, in collaboration with Collins Aerospace, a renowned aerospace and defense industry leader, has launched an initiative called Powered by Collins. This initiative aims to promote technological innovation among Deep Tech small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). As part of this collaboration, T-Hub has been selected as the inaugural Activation Site, an annual designation given by the program to a leading global startup accelerator that facilitates outreach and engagement within a specific ecosystem.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to combine Collins Aerospace’s expertise with the innovative solutions of startups to develop and deploy new products and services. By leveraging T-Hub’s position as the world’s largest innovation campus, along with Collins Aerospace’s resources, world-class startups and scaleups will have access to funding and collaboration opportunities.
T-Hub will play a crucial role in reaching out to top global startups and scaleups with expertise in four specific areas of collaboration: Extravehicular Space Mobility, High-Performance Batteries, Autonomy for Small UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems), and Composites Recycling. Selected companies will be invited to a Collaboration Day, where they will have the opportunity to interact with program leaders from Collins Aerospace. This interaction may lead to funding for the execution of rapid proof-of-concept projects with one of Collins Aerospace’s program teams.
Mahankali Srinivas Rao (MSR), CEO of T-Hub, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that it provides an excellent opportunity for Indian startups to work alongside an industry leader and showcase their capabilities. He believes that this collaboration is a testament to the talent and potential of Indian startups, and T-Hub is committed to identifying and sourcing the best startups to participate in this initiative.
Mary Lombardo, Vice President of Advanced Technology for Collins Aerospace, highlighted that T-Hub was the natural choice for the inaugural Activation Site due to its proven track record of supporting the rapidly growing startup ecosystem in India and the Asia Pacific region.
Lombardo emphasized the alignment between T-Hub’s mission and Collins Aerospace’s goal of identifying advanced technologies and solutions that directly benefit their products and customers. Collins Aerospace looks forward to T-Hub’s ongoing role in engaging with Deep Tech innovators as they expand their involvement in this space.
T-Hub’s collaboration with Collins Aerospace presents an exceptional opportunity for Indian startups to showcase their capabilities and contribute to the advancement of aerospace technology. As an organization dedicated to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, T-Hub is excited about the prospects this collaboration brings and the future it holds for the aerospace industry.
