Surat: The diamond city of Surat is all set to witness three exhibitions under one roof for three long days. The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and the Southern Gujarat Chamber Trade and Industries Development Center have jointly organized ‘Food and Beverages’, ‘SGCCI Global Village’ and Women Entrepreneur Exhibition at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Center, Sarsana, starting from January 24.
Anar Patel, successful woman entrepreneur of Gujarat and daughter of former Gujarat chief Minister and governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel, who is appointed as the president of Khodhaldham, will inaugurate all the three exhibitions on January 24. Patel will be flanked by the presence of Viraj Kulkarni, Hon. Consul General of the Republic of Cyprus in India, Ms. Jackie Lovely, MLA of the state of Alberta, Canada, Mr. Pradeep Peshkar, Director National MSME Board, Dr. Dr. Mary Awusi, Chief Executive Officer, Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Republic of Ghana and Mr. Ishwar Parmar, Vice President, KREMAG Association will be present.
SGCCI president Nikhil Madrasi said that the three exhibitions under one roof will have a special presence of national and international guests, which highlights the global importance and prestige of the exhibition.
With the presence of such national and international eminent personalities, the three exhibitions will become an important platform for creating new opportunities for global trade, investment and cooperation for the industrialists and traders of Surat and the entire South Gujarat.
For the first time, the Food and Beverages expo will showcase advanced robot machinery for bottle pick and drop. This robot system automatically picks up the bottles in a precise manner and arranges them in boxes, due to which the speed, accuracy and efficiency of the production process increases. This machinery, which helps save time and costs by reducing dependence on human labor, proves to be extremely useful, especially for the food, beverage, and packaging industries.
Apart from Surat, 156 exhibitors from various cities of the country such as Pune, Nashik, Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Haryana, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Panchmahal, Navsari, Vapi, Valsad, Ankleshwar, Bhavnagar, Surendranagar, Gondal, Junagadh and Bharuch have participated in this exhibition.
SGCCI vice-president Ashok Jirawala said that in the Food and Beverages Expo, food processing equipment and machinery, packaging machinery and materials, cold chain equipment and refrigeration appliances, warehousing and cargo handling, food testing laboratories, insurance agencies, financial solutions, dried, frozen food, bakery and groceries, beverages, food parks and consumer packaged goods will be exhibited in the food processing sector.
The exhibition will showcase organic and natural products by Indian nutrition and wellness brands. Key product ranges like Organic Moringa (Sargava) Leaf Powder, Moringa Cumin Powder, Moringa Soupy Shots and Moringa Tablets will be presented, which with regular use bring positive changes in energy, digestion and overall health and wellness.
The WEE exhibition will feature stalls from more than 110 women entrepreneurs across various business sectors, including health, consumer durables, readymade garments, fashion and fitness equipment, skin and health care, handloom and handicrafts, dress materials, fashion accessories, traditional wear and sarees, jewellery, interior decoration items, designer lounges and food and beverages.
At the SGCCI Global Village exhibition, exhibitors from Dubai, Australia, Japan, Thailand and Afghanistan will participate in this exhibition. Exhibitors from Dubai will showcase real estate and tourism. Exhibitors from Australia will showcase visa processing as well as council services. Exhibitors from Afghanistan will showcase dry fruits, spices and carpets. Exhibitors from Thailand will showcase products from the health, beauty and FMCG sectors. Exhibitors from Japan will showcase logistics and courier services.
