South Korea’s KRAFTON and Naver to Launch INR 6000cr India-focused Unicorn Growth Fund

New Delhi: South Korean gaming giant KRAFTON and Naver Corporation, a leading technology company there, have launched the Unicorn Growth Fund. With a corpus of ₹ 6,000 crore, this fund will invest in startups across technology, AI and DeepTech domains. 

The Fund will be managed and advised by Mirae Asset Venture Investments (MAVI) — the Mirae Asset group’s private investment platform. It will focus on four high-conviction themes shaping the next decade of the Indian technology economy:

The companies made the announcement following a high level meeting between Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Dr. Jung Kwan Kim, South Korea’s Minister of Trade, Industry and Resources. The meeting took plance in New Delhi on the sidelines of the President of South Korea’s official visit to India for bilateral discussions with PM Narendra Modi. 

The fund will partner with Indian founders building category leading companies- while South Korea’s KRAFTON and Naver will offer its expertise and access to the Korean and broader Asian markets.
