Surat : The Surat International Textile and Machinery Expo (SITME 2026), organised jointly by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and Surat Embroidery Association has received an overwhelming response with more than 34,000 buyers, traders, and businessmen from across the country visiting during the last three days.
SGCCI president Nikhil Madrasi said that the SITEM exhibition witnessed a rush of buyers from the very first day itself. On the first day, 7082 buyers visited the exhibition, while on the second day, 11786 buyers visited the exhibition. Meanwhile, on the third day today, Sunday, 180 visitors were received, making the SITEM exhibition a grand success with a total of 34148 buyers, traders and businessmen visiting the exhibition in three days.
Being a Sunday, the SITEM exhibition was packed with people. Due to the huge crowd of buyers and visitors, all the parking lots at the exhibition venue were full, which clearly indicated the unprecedented response received by this exhibition. More than 15,000 buyers and visitors visited the SITEM exhibition on Sunday, due to which the exhibitors showcasing textile machinery including embroidery are getting an overwhelming response. The exhibitors had one-to-one business meetings with buyers from across the country, which resulted in a large number of inquiries being generated, which are likely to be converted into orders in the coming days.
During these three days, 3808 buyers from outside Surat visited. Apart from Surat, visitors from Ahmedabad, Delhi, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Surendranagar, Mumbai, Silvassa, Amroli, Ukai, Ambala, Punjab, Abrama, Howrah, Ludhiana, Palghar, Bhavnagar, Bhiwandi, Jodhpur, Varanasi, Bhuj, Pune, Meerut, Bhusaval, Ajmer, Pali, Panipat, Vadodara, Tirupati, Ghaziabad, Pandharpur, Bengaluru, Faridabad, Noida, Chennai, Vrindavan and Bikaner visited the SITEM exhibition, thus this exhibition has created excellent business opportunities for both exhibitors and buyers.
It is worth mentioning that 66 exhibitors have participated in the SITEM exhibition at Sarsana and more than 200 machines from 100 brands of embroidery machinery are being displayed.
