SGCCI, JITO Host Business Networking Meet for Women Entrepreneurs in Surat

Surat: The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (SGCCI)  Women Entrepreneur Cell and the Swayam Wing of Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) jointly organized a face to face business meeting at Amora, Surat with the aim of providing a platform for business networking and cooperation to women entrepreneurs.

In his welcome address, the Group Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce,  Shailesh Desai, said that women entrepreneurs are not limited to business in today’s time, but they are pushing forward new ideas, new technology and new business culture.

Ankita Waland, Chairperson of the Chamber’s Women Entrepreneur Cell, gave detailed information about the activities of the Women Entrepreneur Cell. She said that the main goal of the Chamber is to connect women entrepreneurs with each other and create new business opportunities. She also announced the upcoming two face-to-face meetings of the Women Entrepreneur Cell.

Dhara Shah, Chairperson of the JITO Swayam Wing, gave detailed information about JITO Swayam. She gave information about the various activities, training programs and business development efforts undertaken by Swayam for the empowerment of women entrepreneurs.

The face-to-face business meeting was the main attraction, in which women entrepreneurs were given an opportunity for direct interaction and business discussions. The session was successfully conducted by the Advisor of Women Entrepreneur Cell, Swati Sethwala and Hiral Bavishi and Piyusha Chaudhary of JITO.

During this session, women entrepreneurs from various fields discussed their businesses, services and cooperation possibilities, as a result of which many new business connections were established.

At the end of the program, the vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Bandana Bhattacharya, a member of the chamber, while Ms. Jinal Sanghvi, on behalf of Jito herself, thanked the survey present in the meeting.
