SEBI’s Own Ethics Rules Called Too Weak by Expert Panel

New Delhi: SEBI’s internal ethics code was reviewed by a special expert panel that termed it “too weak.” According to the panel, the rules do not properly handle modern-day challenges like digital trading and complex financial products.

They recommended fresh guidelines on better monitoring and stricter reporting. In case SEBI acts upon these recommendations, the internal discipline of the regulator will improve.
