Piramal Finance raises ₹3,850 crore through QIP and warrants to fund its next phase of growth

New Delhi, August 31: Leading Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) Piramal Finance Limited has announced a capital raise of ₹3,850 crore through a preferential warrant issue and QIP as it looks to strengthen its balance sheet and capital base for expanding its retail and small business lending operations.

The company will be allotting 99,52,606 shares to leading institutional investors who participated in its Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) between August 24 and 28, 2026. The issue price was at ₹2,110 per equity share of face value ₹2. With this the company’s paid up share capital increases from ₹45.34 crore to ₹47.33 crore.

Leading mutual funds like  ICICI Prudential, Nippon India, Kotak, Quant, Axis, Motilal Oswal, Tata, Franklin Templeton, and Aditya Birla Sun Life joined global investors BlackRock, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and Eastspring Investments to invest in the QIP.

Besides this, the board has approved a preferential issue of up to 82.94 lakh warrants worth ₹1,750.03 crore to promoter group Nithyam Realty Limited at ₹2,110 per warrant. The subscriber will be paying 25% of the total issue price upfront, while the rest will be payable on conversion into equity shares within 18 months.
