Parle Biscuits names George Kovoor as first-ever CEO after 30+ years at PepsiCo

New Delhi: The company that owns brands such, as Parle-G, Monaco, Krackjack, Hide & Seek, Melody and Parle Biscuits has just named former PepsiCo executive George Kovoor as its new Chief Executive Officer. George Kovoor has officially takes charge from September 1, 2026. Appointment is been significantly as Kovoor is the first-ever CEO of Parle Biscuits. They have traditionally been managed by the promoter family.

This change happens because Parle wants to improve its leadership and get ready for the period of growth. George Kovoor is joining with than 30 years of experience, at PepsiCo, where he worked in many different consumer businesses and markets. During his long career, Kovoor held some senior leadership positions, by including roles related to beverages, foodservice, sales and business operations. Geogre Kovoor also held leadership responsbilities in the Greater China region and other Asian markets.

The company Managing Director Ajay Chauhan welcomed George Kovoor to the Parle Biscuit and stated that this experience will going to help Parle strengthen its capabilities and find latest opportunities for sustainable growth. Parle Biscuit also believes his experience in handling changing markets and developing teams will be useful as consumer preferences continue to change. This leadership change comes at an important time for the Indian packaged food market.

Consumers are heavily looking for latest products, premium offerings and more variety, while consumption among food and biscuit companies is also growing. Parle wants to build on its strong brand presence while adapting to these changing trends. Parle Biscuit was started in Mumbai in 1929. Parle Biscuit has a distribution network that reaches more, than 7.5 million retail outlets across India. Parle’s products are also sold in international markets, by including countries in Asia and Africa. Parle-G still remains one of the company’s best-known products and is among the world’s largest-selling biscuit brands by volume.

George Kovoor’s appointment also comes as Parle Products is been reported for preparing for the possible mega IPO. Parle is aiming an IPO of more than $1 billion and valuation above $10.5 billion. With George Kovoor now leading the company, Parle Biscuits is likely to aim on strengthening its business, by expanding its market presence and responding to the changing needs to Indian consumers.
