Online Shopping firms Fires Backlash of Late Seller Payments

New Delhi: One big e-commerce firm is under fire due to sellers after being affected financially due to delayed payments by the company. There are numerous vendors who claim that they have not been getting payments in weeks, and it is difficult to make ends meet.

Small sellers are reliant on regular payments to acquire stock and remunerate workers. Some are finding it challenging to carry on their businesses because of the delays. Other sellers have resorted to social media and express themselves about their issues and seek solutions.

The ecommerce firm indicated that the delay was occasioned by technical problems and system upgrades. It gave an assurance that the payment would be made shortly. Nevertheless, sellers are not contented and require definite schedules.

The trade groups are requesting the government to intervene and save small sellers. Experts indicate that the ecommerce sites are required to be responsible because they dominate big portions of the market.
