New Delhi: Indian Railways has introduced its latest ‘RailOne’ application, aiming to bring more convenience to passengers. The Indian Railways has launched a new superapp named RailOne, which is a one-stop application for all railway-related queries and needs in one place.
This latest RailOne app will consolidate all passenger services in one application, allowing users to book IRCTC reserved, platform, and other tickets, track PNR, view train status, coach position, and access Rail Madad and travel feedback. Indian Railways travellers presently access multiple apps and websites for different services. These include IRCTC Rail Connect for booking tickets, IRCTC eCatering Food on Track for ordering meals, Rail Madad for providing feedback, UTS for purchasing unreserved tickets, and National Train Enquiry System for monitoring train movements.

IRCTC Rail Connect, which holds exclusive rights for reserved ticket bookings, has surpassed 100 million downloads, establishing itself as the railway’s most popular application. External travel booking platforms rely on IRCTC for train bookings, demonstrating its significant role in online railway reservations. It is focusing on three major modifications to enhance traveller comfort.
These changes encompass a revised tatkal booking process, modifications to waitlist chart preparation and comprehensive upgrades to the reservation infrastructure.
Advanced Chart Preparation 8 Hours Prior:
- Current charts are prepared four hours before departure
- Proposed preparation time extended to eight hours pre-departure
- For trains before 1400 hours, charts finalise at 2100 hours the previous day
- Earlier waitlist status updates for passengers
Verified Users for Tatkal Bookings
- From July 1, 2025, only verified users will be allowed for Tatkal bookings
- OTP authentication implementation by July end
- Authentication through Aadhaar or DigiLocker documents
Enhanced Reservation System
