New Delhi: Nvidia has strengthened its position as the global leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) chips after reporting another strong quarterly performance, driven by growing demand for AI infrastructure from technology companies around the world.
The company has become one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI boom as businesses invest heavily in advanced Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) needed to train and operate large AI models. Nvidia’s latest financial results showed continued growth in revenue and profits, supported mainly by its data centre business.
Large technology companies including Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Meta, OpenAI, xAI, and Oracle continue purchasing Nvidia’s AI chips to power their expanding data centres. The company’s latest Blackwell AI platform and Hopper GPUs are widely used for generative AI, machine learning, scientific computing, and cloud services.
CEO Jensen Huang has described AI as the next major industrial revolution, saying demand for AI computing continues to exceed supply. Nvidia is increasing production while working with manufacturing partners to meet the growing global need for high-performance AI hardware.
The company’s networking products, AI software platforms, and CUDA development ecosystem have also contributed to its leadership. These technologies make it easier for developers and businesses to build AI applications using Nvidia hardware.
Competition in AI chips is increasing, with AMD, Intel, Google, Amazon, and several startups introducing alternative AI processors. However, Nvidia continues to hold a significant market share because of its advanced hardware, software ecosystem, and long-standing relationships with cloud service providers.
