Mumbai: FMCG major Nestlé India Limited reported a 47.9% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit after tax to ₹958.7 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, up from ₹659.2 crore in the corresponding period last year. Along with this, revenue from operations also rose 25% year-on-year to reach ₹6,378.2 crore compared to ₹5,096.2 crore in Q1 FY26. The surge was driven by strong domestic and international volume growth and an expanding product reach, despite commodity price inflation for key inputs like cocoa, sugar and coffee.
The company’s EBITDA also rose 39.8% also rose to reach Rs.1,538 crore from Rs.1,100 crore from last year. Along with that, the company’s operating margins also rose by 250 basis points to reach 24.2% this quarter.
All major product groups of the company registered double digit growth, aided by premiumization and volume-led double digit growth. Its Kitkat brand gained the most market share while rising coffee consumption saw its Nespresso brand record double digit growth for the 20th consecutive quarter.
Nestlé’s prepared dishes and cooking aids business, led by its flagship Maggi brand, has also delivered strong growth through its product innovations and urban consumer engagement, while its pet food brand also posted double digit growth as well.
The company’s exports also grew well, with the Maggi brand expanding into Europe and Canada, while commencing exports of Nescafé Sunrise to Lebanon after launches in the UAE and Saudi Arabia as well.
